Who’s Eligible to Apply?
Whether you’re in it for the love of the game, you’re intrigued by the youth referee/umpire job description, or you just want to stay in shape over the summer, this is a great place to start. We hire individuals ages 14 and up to officiate for youth sports programs in the Chicagoland area and beyond.
Training Videos/Education
Maybe you don’t know the duties of an umpire or referee beyond wearing a funky shirt. That’s okay because we hire at all levels of skill and experience. As long as you’re motivated to succeed, we’ll give you the tools to do so. By the time you’ve completed our three-session referee training program, you’ll be well on your way to officiating your first game.
Schedule
We understand that you may eat, breathe, and sleep sports, but we all need to come up for air once in a while. That’s why we offer flexible scheduling. You work when you’re available, so your job fits everything from your busy life to the SAT prep classes or extra college credits you’re taking over the summer.
Expected Pay
What do you get for your time? The job is a rewarding one, but we know that you’ve got bills to pay and big aspirations. That’s why we pay between $14 and $22 per hour depending on your level of experience. That’s far more than you’d get for most summer employment.

Maybe you’ve got dreams of going pro one day. On the other hand, maybe you’re more comfortable in a chess club than you’d be with a baseball bat in your hand, but you’ve got a knack for rules and regulations.
